October 2022: Welcome to Dave DuBose! The Stewart Merrill lab has officially reached critical mass, as Dave DuBose joins us as our new lab technician. Dave will be helping to build the lab, while contributing to several planned experiments and field studies on disease dynamics in the Apalachicola Bay. We are thrilled he is joining us! |
April 2022: Grace to join the Stewart Merrill and Okamoto Labs.
After collaborating with Tara for almost a year, Grace Westphal has decided to come join the lab as a PhD student! Grace will be entering the FSU Biology department and the Coastal and Marine Laboratory in Fall 2022 where she will be co-advised by Tara Stewart Merrill and Daniel Okamoto. Grace was also awarded the highly prestigious FSU Legacy Fellowship - a five year award that will provide her support during her PhD. Welcome Grace! |
January 2022: The Stewart Merrill RAD Lab is born!
In early January 2022, Tara made her way from CU Boulder to Florida State University to start as new faculty at the Coastal and Marine Laboratory. She entered an empty laboratory space as the sole member of the lab. She is excited to start building up the RAD lab and increase its research capacity.
